All in Favor of SuperBowl Monday

Let’s be honest! We all knew that the Patriots were going to win last night! I didn’t even bother watching it, yet go to any party to celebrate when I knew that they were going to win. I am even going to go out on a limb and say it would be crazy to even host a party in hopes that they would win! lol

I read an article about the “inconvenience” of the SuperBowl being held on a Sunday. According to this article, the Superbowl festivities run so late the evening before the start of the work week causing everyone to dread work Monday morning, especially if their team lost. This article also pointed out that the timing is inconvenient to people in other countries due to the timezone situation.

Let’s be honest, I speak for most of the women out here, we only here for the food and fellowship, and sometimes, the half time show. SOMETIMES the halftime show.

Here are my two cents about that article I read:

Two Cents: Let us NOT change the day of the Super Bowl! Since football is still America’s “favorite sport”, despite how everyone is feeling about the Colin Kaepernick situation, (let me not get into that) let’s just have the Monday after the game off! Like for real! Why isn’t this a thing yet? We have all these other “unnecessary” holidays such as Groundhogs Day, Confederate Memorial Days, Columbus Day, etc. How about we swap one of those days, Columbus Day *cough cough*, for Superbowl Monday! Let’s be real, we all know the true story about Columbus so get out your feelings.

We fight for stupid stuff every day. Let us all band together and fight for this important day. Dear Mr. “President”, instead of fighting for this “wall”, can we have SuperBowl Monday? It cost less than a wall and won’t send the government into a shutdown.

*In my Amanda Bynes voice* Dear America, (that’s meeeee) let us come together as a country to fight this injustice! We demand justice for all!!! Let’s do this!! I know for a fact all y’all who were chugging down those Bud Lights last night are about this life. Go ahead and sign the petition. We all know that you are feeling some type of way this morning at work.
