Weird Things

So today, I was at Moes.

I was hungry.

But, I had to use the restroom also.

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.

As I was washing my hands, I started trying to come up with a plan of washing and drying my hands without touching anything in the restroom. my hands. After about a minute, I realized I was doing too much.

Anywho, I realized that I, Constance, do some pretty weird stuff. I personally don’t think they are weird, but others do.

  1. I hate not having anything on my feet, while walking. You will never see me walking anywhere without anything (socks, sandals, shoes) on my feet. The feeling is disgusting. So if I have forgotten my shower shoes, just know that no shower will be taken until I buy shower shoes. Even in my own house. But for me at home, its just a texture issue, in public places its a germaphobic issue.
  2. At the same time, I hate shoes. I mean I LOVE shoes, you should see my closet, but I hate being somewhere and having them on the whole time. So don’t judge me if you see me at an event and I’m sitting down with my shoes off.
  3. I hate using the first part of the tissue in a public restroom. I know that there isn’t anything I will catch, but you never know!!
  4. When I get goodies in the mail, I stop everything and have a fashion show. No lie! Like I create outfits and scenarios of where I could wear these outfits. Snap pics and send to my friend for approval.
  5. So, whenever someone adds me on Instagram, real talk, I kinda sorta go through my pics real quick to see if there is anything I am ashamed of. No I don’t have low self esteem, I just do it. No reason at all!!!! Facebook, eh, I could really care less. I don’t update that with anything but my blog.
  6. I am a karate master. Catch me in the bathroom, you will see that I touch nothing with my hands. I flush the toilet with my feet, use the tissue to dispense the paper towel and to turn on the water and then finally, turn off the water with the used paper towel. But don’t let the door be far from the trashcan to dump the paper towel. Either I utilize one of my karate kicks or I use the same paper towel and find a trash once I leave.
  7. I hate my sweet foods mixing with my salty foods. If you have ever “brunched” with me, you will notice the I will separate my pancakes, waffle, french toast, etc. away from my grits, potatoes and whatever food that I have that isn’t sweet. I used to be so bad that I would eat the sweet stuff first and then eat the salty. Didn’t want it mixing. I am better now. Two plates for me please!
  8. I know when you have touched my stuff. The crazy thing is that I’m the oldest of three so I know how to share. But once I moved out the house, I guess I figured I didn’t have to share. Well, I cannot stand when someone has touched my stuff. That drives me nuts. The even crazier thing is the I know that you have touched something without even saying anything. Everything has a place and I know exactly how I left things. If I send you to retrieve something and you cant find it, I know someone has touched it because I know exactly where my stuff is, all the time. Man I dont know what I’m going to do when I have kids.
  9. It’s this street in Atlanta that I despise. I HATE driving on Windy Hill. It just gives me a bad feeling. Not a creepy feeling, just like I get irritated when I have to drive on that road. I have even at times, rerouted my trip to avoid that road.
  10. I have to eat every 3 hours. Like for real. I know my body. If I ate at 8am we cannot be deciding on lunch at 11am. That should have already been decided. I cannot make it. I will have to snack before we go to the restaurant. My whole attitude changes. I literally cannot function. I shut all the way down. You do NOT want to be around me at hour 3 and I haven’t had anything to eat.

Bonus: this one my friends get on me about. They call me bouji for this one.

I am very sensitive to smells. I can tell what kind of leather a car has. For example, the leather in a Mercedes Benz is different than a BMW. The smell of the leather in a Benz will make me extremely nauseous. I have had so many terrible experiences with this. My parents used to think I was lying when we would travel together in their Benz.

Just a few weird things about me that maybe you know or did not know. Can you relate to any of them?
