My DIY Scarf!!!

I have decided to try something new at least once a month. By new I mean some kind of adventure or new hobby. I want to go to California, learn how to change my oil in my car, run a marathon, etc. This month I decided to learn how to knit. My coworker is a GREAT knitter!! She was my first inspiration. We have been discussing knitting for a few months and had told me she’d teach me soon. Well me being me, I couldn’t wait and I had to learn that instant. So I headed over to YouTube to figure out how to knit. I watched like 5 videos probably more than once until I got the concept. As soon as I left work, I went to Joann’s and bought the yarn I needed to start this project. I decided to make a thick infinity scarf. I chose a khaki color because I could wear it with a lot of things.

What is different about this scarf is that I made it with my hands. I did not use needles for this scarf! It only took 30 minutes! Well it took me an hour because I did it once, wanted to perfect it, took it out, and did it again. I will be actually knitting a scarf in a few days to show you what it looks like as a beginner knitter.

Here are the results:

Thanks to my aunt for modeling my scarf!!! You should check out her hair products! They are all natural and work great!!!! http://www.vallilily.com/

I enjoyed this process, I cannot wait to learn more! I want to make some socks, a hat, and a blanket. I want to master those items so that I can knit in my spare time. People have told me that my scarf looks so nice that I could sell them. Maybe when I get some more time, I will be able to focus on that. I want to learn different patterns also.
